Fort Worth, TX -  The NASCAR Cup Series fired engines Sunday afternoon for the Wurth 400 at Texas Motor Speedway. Carson Hocevar started on the pole, with his Spire Motorsports teammate Daniel Suarez alongside him.

The first caution of the day came out on lap 69 after Todd Gilliland spun, and clipped Christopher Bell off turn 4. Bell would slam into the wall, sending him to the garage, and ending the 20 team’s day.

Erik Jones would go on to win Stage 1, making his first ever stage win in the Cup Series.

William Byron would bring out the second caution of the afternoon after spinning into the infield on lap 94. On the next pit cycle, Joey Logano’s season woes continued after contact on pit road with the No. 41 of Cole Custer, which destroyed the left-front fender of his Team Penske Ford.

TY Gibbs would slap the wall on lap 102, bringing out another caution. This would send Gibbs to the DVP area to work on the No. 54.

Kyle Larson spun into turn 2 with six to go in the stage. Larson had been struggling with the handling of his Chevrolet all day.

Chase Elliott would capture his first stage win of the season in Stage 2 after a brief battle with Brad Keselowski.

Chase Elliott was able to hold off Denny Hamlin to secure his 23rd career win, and his 2nd win of the 2026 season.
