Talladega, AL— The NASCAR O’Reilly AutoParts series fired engines Saturday afternoon for the AG-Pro 300 from Talladega Superspeedway.

Jesse Love paced the field to green with Sam Meyer alongside on the front row.

The first caution of the day came on just the opening lap after Patrick Staropoli was turned into the outside wall on the backstretch, collecting Tyler Ankrum in the process.

Stage 1 belonged to Carson Kvapil after a photo finish with Sam Mayer, marking Kvapil’s third career stage win in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series.

Stage 2 ran clean the entire 50 laps with Justin Allgaier getting the stage win. That would make Allgaier’s 88th career stage win —a remarkable statistic

After a three wide finish for the lead, Corey Day held off the field to earn his first career win at Talladega under caution. It certainly looked like Sheldon Creed was on his way to victory lane until Day got a massive push and never looked back.

NEXT UP: The NASCAR O’Reilly AutoParts Series will head to Texas Motor Speedway for the Andy’s Frozen Custard 340 Saturday at 2:30
