The front row for The Great American race is set. Kyle Busch wins the pole, joining him on the front row will be Chase Briscoe in his Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota.

This will be Kyle Busch’s 21st attempt at trying to win the only crown jewel he has yet to win in his Hall of Fame career. What a way to start the 2026 season for the 8 team, as they struggled drastically last season. Behind Busch and Briscoe will be Ryan Preece who is riding off of some momentum following his cookout clash win, Denny Hamlin, as well as Corey Heim who put on an absolute clinic in his first qualifying run in a cup car for 23XI racing at the Daytona 500.

The remainder of the field will be determined tomorrow night, during the two duel races. The two duels will determine starting positions from third through forty. The two 150 mile duel races will not deliver us the heart-racing moments that sundays race will. However, stakes are certainly high as drivers will do whatever it takes to roll off from a good position, and better their chances at securing the Harley J. Earl trophy.
