HAMPTON, G.A. – ThorSport Racing's Jake Garcia secured the pole for the Fr8 Racing 208 at EchoPark Speedway, Friday, February 20 for the Craftsman Truck Series. The Georgia native
ran a time of 32.050 running just slower than last season's 31.969 ran by Connor Mosack. His teammate Ben Rhodes will join Garcia on the front row when the field takes the green flag.
Behind the two, Chevrolet showed a strong performance putting tour trucks in the top 10. Kyle Busch led the charge for Spire Motorsports qualifying third, while Tyler Ankrum of McAnally-Hilgemann racing qualified 4th.
Busch's fellow NASCAR Cup Series competitor Ricky Stenhouse Jr, who is making his second start with Niece Motorsports rounded out the top five.
As for other manufacturers, two TRICON Garage trucks qualified in the top 10, as a debuting Adam Andretti led the team qualifying 8th. Giovanni Ruggiero earned 10th but did not record a lap in the second round due to precautionary measures after the car suffered a tire rub.
Kaulig Racing struggled as an organization in its second qualifying showing with Ram, as all five trucks scored 25th, 26th, 28th, 29th, and 30th on speed. Justin Haley led the way with a 32.673, over a half a second off the pole time set by Garcia.
