The NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series continued its 2026 campaign with a trip to Austin, Texas, for road course racing at Circuit of The Americas. Connor Zilisch led the field to green.

Austin Hill collected a valuable 10 points in Stage 1 after Connor Zilisch and Shane Van Gisbergen pitted with just three laps remaining.

The first caution of the day came out with six laps remaining in Stage 2. Balthazar Leguizamon was stuffed into the tire barriers off turn 1 after what appeared to be a stuck throttle. The incident forced teams to reconsider their pit strategies and reshuffle the field to end the stage. Stage 2 came to a close with Sam Mayer holding off Justin Allgaier in his No. 7 Chevrolet to secure the victory.

Connor Zilisch had been dealing with brake problems all day after leading the field to green. With just 23 laps remaining, the No. 1 Chevrolet was forced to pit for the team to work on the car.

The yellow came out with nine laps remaining in the race. Sage Karam suffered a broken left-front suspension forcing the field to slow down.

Road-course ace, Shane Van Gisbergen took home the win at Circuit of The Americas. This marks the first win at COTA for the veteran, making it his seventh NASCAR win overall since coming over from the Australian Supercars Championship in 2023.
