Sonoma, CA - The NASCAR Cup Series fired its engines Sunday afternoon to go road course racing once again, this time in Wine Country at Sonoma Raceway. Ty Gibbs led the field to the green flag, with Carson Hocevar alongside him on the front row.

Stage 1 ran caution-free as Ty Gibbs picked up the Stage win over Christoper Bell.

Stage 2 also ran caution free with Ty Gibbs sweeping the stages after Shane van Gisbergen pitted from the lead with 2 to go.

The first caution of the day came on Lap 61. Josh Berry got turned in Turn 3, and then there was some debris on the track. Also involved in the incident was Noah Gragson and Bubba Wallace.

The final stage was an intense battle between Shane van Gisbergen and Chase Briscoe. Briscoe was inching closer and closer, each and every lap but could not get by the No. 97 Trackhouse Chevrolet. Shane van Gisbergen picks up his 8th career win, all on road courses. This also tied SVG with Tony Stewart for most wins all time on road courses.
